Manufacture Full Description
The honey-yellow Feather Api not only brings a cheerful mood to our feet, this sandal is also an ambassador for a small but lovely Wildling passion project. Last year we were able to buy seeds for a six-hectare flowering meadow in support of the sustainability efforts of the Demeter Peetzig farmstead. Together with Bienenbotschaft, we set up a ® natural habeetat *tree there. This species-appropriate bee dwelling is cared for by an experienced beekeeper, and naturally, the bees living there are allowed to keep their honey. We’re already looking forward to a cheerfully buzzing sea of blooms.
Feather Api hugs our feet snugly and comfortably; the closed strap over the big toe actively supports the so-called windlass mechanism. Through the natural movement of the big toe as you walk and run, the sandal is drawn to the sole of your foot as if by magic.
The upper is made of a soft microfiber, making this sandal particularly durable.
As with the closed Wildling models, the flexible and minimalistic outsole is made of a rubber-cork blend.
The mid-sole is breathable, quick-drying, and made of 75% washi and 25% polyester. The insole, made of EVA and walnut shell, boasts natural antibacterial properties and is removable to allow for airing out or washing.
